This silk is rougher, thicker, and heavier than normal. True raw silk does not have the natural gum removed before weaving. Our rough silk fabric has been gently washed so that it has the raw silk look but is softer.
This is a strong and heavy fabric great for throw pillows, skirts or jackets.
Please note that the photographs do not do the silk justice, and that in real life the silk takes on a new dimension and looks much more alive.
