Silver/Black Shot Thai Silk.
Handwoven by our weavers in Thailand. Sangdao shot silk is a very tightly woven smooth and soft, fabric of the finest quality. The average weight per 40 inch yard of our heavy (2 yarn) shot silk is 89 grams, (just over 3 ounces).

This is a traditional iridescent Thai "shot" silk fabric, suitable for general use, and jackets. The warp yarn is shot through with a different colored weft yarn, which along with the lustrous nature of Thai silk yarn produces the brilliant sheen.
The colors change as light reflects off the silk. When fabric lovers visit Thailand this is one of the silks that they bring home and rave about to their friends.
Please note that the photographs do not do the silk justice, and that in real life the silk takes on a new aspect and looks much more alive. The colors are simply amazing and this is why (along with the incredible hand-weaving) Thai silk is considered the finest in the world.
